THE TEAM

Hero’s Stone Productions specializes in films with religious and/or spiritual themes.

In addition, the producers, Alan and Isabel Pisano create films with themes of social justice and peace.  Their initial film was entitled Waging Peace.  This film was a commission for the Nobel Prize winning organization, Pugwash.  This organization shared the Nobel Peace Prize with its founder Joseph Rotblat, for their work on nuclear non-proliferation.  We are supporters of the arts and higher education.  Isabel Pisano is a former trustee of the Berklee College of Music in Boston Ma.  In addition, she is on the Dean’s Council of Metropolitan College at Boston University.  After a career in software, Isabel has dedicated her time to telling thought provoking and transformative stories.  Alan is a Professor in the College of Engineering at Boston University and lends his technical expertise and other capabilities to productions.  They are parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica, the “Mission Church” in Boston MA.  The icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help has been displayed in their home for now 40 years.

Father Dabney

Father Philip Dabney is a Redemptorist priest whose hometown is Annapolis, MD. He is the sixth of nine children. In 1965, at the age of 14, Father Dabney began his journey with the Redemptorists by entering their minor seminary in North East, PA.  He took his first vows in 1970, his final vows in 1975 and was ordained in 1978. In 1980 he returned to the minor seminary where he started, to teach music, speech, oral interpretation, and English literature.  In 1987, when the minor seminary closed, he went to Washington, D.C., where he began his first term as vocation director for his province.  In 1992, he went to St. Louis University where he studied spirituality, in order to prepare himself for assuming the responsibility of novice director in Esopus, NY. A year later, two months prior to beginning his job as novice director there was change of plans.  Instead he went back to Washington D.C. to be the rector of the house of Theology.  Six years later, in 1999, he returned to vocation work again for nine years, living in Whitestone, NY, the Redemptorist house of philosophy.  Since 2008, he has been serving as associate pastor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston, MA. He enjoys the theatre, loves to sing, fishes occasionally, plays tennis, and loves people. As he once wrote: “I began my priesthood by offering my life to Christ and he has filled my life with his people.”
